ABOUT THIS SITE

About Dr Semaglutide.

An independent editorial reading of the semaglutide literature — glycemic control first, every claim cited.

What this site is

Dr Semaglutide is an independent editorial project that publishes plain-English summaries of the peer-reviewed research literature on semaglutide. We are not a clinic. We do not employ clinicians and we do not provide medical advice. We do not manufacture, sell, or distribute any product. Our work is editorial commentary on publicly available science.

The "Dr" in the name is editorial framing — the position this publisher takes toward the literature, reading it carefully and citing it line by line. It is not a claim about clinical services, a person, or a place. There are no doctors here, no consultations, and nothing to buy.

How we read the evidence

We lead with the glycemic and diabetes evidence — the foundation of the semaglutide record — and then move outward to the weight, cardiovascular, kidney and liver trials. Every quantitative claim on the site is tied to a specific study in the Semaglutide references: the STEP, SUSTAIN, SELECT, FLOW, PIONEER and SURMOUNT trials, plus dedicated safety and pharmacovigilance reviews.

We try to be precise where the data is precise (the STEP 1 -14.9% body-weight change, the SUSTAIN-6 hazard ratio of 0.74) and honest where it is uncertain (the pancreatic and thyroid-cancer signals that remain unconfirmed). Community-reported experiences are clearly labeled as anecdote and kept separate from trial findings, on the Semaglutide effects page.

What we don't do

We do not recommend doses for anyone. Where doses appear, they are the amounts documented in the trials and the approved label, reported in the third person. We do not use brand names — only the generic compound name, semaglutide, and its drug class. We do not link to sellers, quote prices, or point to sources of supply.

Semaglutide is an approved prescription medicine when prescribed and dispensed as the manufactured product. Decisions about whether any medicine is appropriate belong between a person and a qualified clinician. This site exists to make the published evidence readable, nothing more.
